From all of us at Mo's Digital Pencil we wish you a Happy New Year! We hope that 2010 finds you crafty as ever with all the mojo you ever need!
For the entire month of January our DT member, Lisa Cook, will be our Challenge hostess. Lisa is super-talented and you should check out her blog. We are very fortunate to have her as part of her team. Since we've been getting to know more about Lisa, we thought you would like to also...so here's a note from Lisa herself.....
I am a Kansas girl and love crafting. I have a degree in elementary education, but haven’t taught since I had my daughter almost 14 years ago. My son is 16. The two of them keep me busy! My husband and I have been married almost 19 years. He is very supportive of my terrible paper/stamp/ribbon/Copic addiction hehe. I’m very blessed!
I have loved to color since I was a little girl! The smell of new crayons delights me till this day. I love making cards. It is truly my passion. Images that lend themselves to coloring are what I tend to gravitate toward. I like clean layouts that set off the image. I love embellishments, but too many can be distracting. I love to participate in challenges and keep a weekly calendar of my favorites so I don’t lose track and miss any!
I hope you enjoy the challenges I've put together this month!
Thanks Lisa.. we are looking forward to all you have in store for us this month!
So to start off January, Lisa is challenging us to make a card or paper project for a Birthday... Yup.. it's all about birthdays so you get to create anything you wish using an image from Mo's Digital Pencil and meeting Lisa's challenge. With Lisa's criteria in mind, here's what the design team has put together for her first challenge.
So grab your pencils, watercolors, copic markers, promarkers, or whatever you like as your weapon of choice and play along with us in Lisa's first challenge.
Our challenge rules are listed to the right of this blogpost, so please check them out. Make sure you leave a link at Mr. Linky (if he's working) to your post for this specific challenge, not just to your blog. If Mr. Linky isn't appearing, just leave a post in our comment section with a link to your creation. We won't overlook you!!
Thanks for playing along!

Wow! It's not always in my favor to procrastinate projects, but I finally got my sweet husband to reword his own birthday card! LOL I've reposted his card on my blog. It was a delight to work with a Mo's image. I will try it again when I have more time.
